?? using SW rewards to book flights

Hi I was just wondering if I use my rewards to book a flight for me and a friend and the price of rewards goes down or if I need to cancel her flight will I get the rewards back into my acct
or is it like when using cash to book flights for my friend and I change or cancel the amount I spent goes under their name after that?

The points go back into the account they came from - so you would get the points back.
