Using Stairs at Art of Animation

Hello. We are considering Art of Animation for our next trip. Does anyone know if you can use the stairs to routinely exit and enter the buildings? Looks like a room on end of building could be a much shorter walk to Skyliner or main bldg/food court. Thanks for any info!

Yes, it's amazing how many people walk to the elevators when the stairs could be a closer. You just need your key card/magic band everytime to enter. Your phone as a key didn't work for us on the exterior doors, this was probably 2 years ago maybe that's changed.

I completely get this. Yes the stairs were great on the end. Art of Animation was perfect.. I hate elevators, although they were convenient for moving bags in. I could never stay in a room where i could only use the elevator- i need control! LoL! Once i got to the Dolphin and they gave us a room where you could only use the elevator—— i promptly went to front desk begging for a stairs room, which they happily accomodated and it turns out there were only 2 floors that they could do this on!!!!

Yep! We went down the stairs all the time, they're easily accessible.

Stayed at AoA Nemo used the stairs exit doors instead of main entrance because it was closer to food court - used the elevator and front door when going to skyliner not really sure why we did that it - it just got to be habit.
