Using someone else's magic band for dining?

My family is going with my parents to WDW in March. We are staying in two separate studio villas, and my parents are thinking about getting the DxDP and using some of the credits for our joint meals. They also wanted to treat my husband and I to an adult dinner without the kids. Would I be able to use her magic band (if I knew her pin) to use their dining credits, or is that a no-no?

That's a tough one. They may ask for an id or if you pay w a cc for out of pocket choices and the names don't add up then there is an issue

Anyone have any real life usage?

You could swap out an adult in each room, i.e. You register in their room one of them in yours. But that has its own issues too

I did think of switching who's in whose room, but they are only staying 4 nights, and we will be staying 7, and that seemed more difficult to work around than the dinner. And if the dinner can't happen this way, that's ok, but if it can work, great.

We did this no problem last October. Got the deluxe plan on my moms room and we kept one of her extra magic bands. I had her pin because I set it up. Never had a problem.
