Using Snack Credit...Advice Please...any Breakfast ideas....and....

There is too much too think about. ugh!!! Everytime I think about considering the plan I read one of these and think this is way too much for my very small brain. The way I figure, I am spending about $180 a day on 5 people and that's only one sit down dinner and a $20 snack for lunch with b/f in the room. I would save money even if I only used the credits for my one sit down and the snack credits for drinks. We never eat CS. I just hate the thought of sorting through all these credits. How do you guys do it? Is it a pain in the you know what? ;)

The plan is very simple. They give you a brochure that tells you exactly what's included. Some CM in some resorts are generous and sometimes allows items that aren't included. The plan gets "complicated" when guests try to make a list of what restaurants generally make exceptions and then try to keep the list current. You're correct, many people will "get their monies worth" even if they they skip the CS meals. You can use your CS to get a meal in your resort food court. Take the meal back to your room to eat.

Thanks for the advice!!! Didn't mean to steal your thread. I suppose, i want a simplistic version. Just let me pay the $150 a day and get my one sit down and drinks for the snack credits and I am already ahead. It just seems wasteful to have those CS credits and never use them. :confused3

Are you only eating one meal /day? You can use your CS for food to go and keep it in the refrigerator in your room. Earl of Sandwich in DTD participates. The CS in DQ participates. The pool restaurant in the resorts participate. The CS restaurants in the water parks participate. The food court in the Land participates. If you want to make your own sandwiches you could just use the CS credit for drinks and dessert.

oh wait...what's Planet Hollywood voucher?? how do i get those? oh i can never catch up with all these new info everytime I log on here and find something I never heard of. :P

We basically eat breakfast in our room, from food we bring, not big breakfast eaters. Have a snack for lunch, for example, pretzels, fries, ice cream and drinks and then eat an early dinner.

Some packages (not sure if it's certain dates or certain packages or what) come with one meal voucher as I described in my earlier post and a voucher for a Planet Hollywood souveneir. Since it's only one meal per package, we probably won't even use it. PH isn't one of my favorite places, so I wouldn't spend my time or $$ there when in WDW.

If nothing else you can get a CS lunch. Drink the soda, eat the fries, eat the dessert and throw out the chicken fingers. The food court in the Land has good desserts.

If they don't eat much breakfast or lunch, they could also use the cs credits to split a breakfast platter (wouldn't have to worry about bringing own food) and then use cs credits and split a lunch. You could have all 3 meals covered.

this more difficult! Oy.

We are definitely bringing food from home [then we'll have room for trinkets on return flight] but just nutri-grain bars, protein bars, trail mix ideas, and juice boxes for kiddos.

I'm going to bring empty cups that are small enough to throw in my bag for filling up at water fountain so we can split some CS meals.

We'll try to get fruit as dessert with our CS to eat then or use later for healthy snack.

I'm sure once I'm there it will work out just fine. It is nice paying up front but it's difficult to figure out how it will all pan out without actually having been there. It's probably much easier for people familiar with WDW.

I cannot wait. 5 days to go.

Good Luck and have fun!!! It took me several trips to figure out our eating habits while on vacation. At first I was enforcing a 3 meal a day protocol, until I realized how much food was going to waste, how little we eat for breakfast and how much we don't care for chicken strips and burgers. We even tried the noodle station for a different CS experience and it was blech!!! So we like to stick with places we can get grilled fish, steak, chicken and veggies. Which is mostly sit down meals, except for a couple CS in AK, but we never go there.

That is our plan as well!
