What's the deal with using resort pools before check-in or after check-out? Do they provide a place to change clothes, etc.?

We'll probably either be at ASSp or the Contemp (with the military rate :)).

Once you are checked in, you may use all of the amenities that your resort offers, including the pools. There are bathrooms with a dressing stall located adjacent to the main pool at every resort.

Don't know about before check-in, but.......we stayed at POR back in 2000 when it was still DxL, and the day of checkout, we had a very late flight home. We checked out early and had the hotel store our luggage except for a knapsack which held our swim suits. We spent most of the day at Downtown Disney, then came back to the resort and spent a few hours at the pool before the towncar came to get us. We changed in the bathrooms right next to the pool, put the wet suits into a plastic bag in the knapsack, and we were all set to go! It was a nice, relaxing (and cool!) end to the vacation!

Remember that you can technically check in before your room is available. So if you arrive at 7:30 in the morning, just check in like you normally would. You'll be given your resort ID that will function as the room key later when your room is ready. You'll also be given a number you can call to find out if your room is ready yet.

They'll hold your luggage for you until your room is ready, so it's a good idea to have just a small bag set aside with your swim suits and anything else you may need.

We will be staying at BC for 2 nights, then moving over to OKW.

Will we be able to use the SAB pool on the day we check out as well? Our room at OKW won't be ready until 4pm so we may decide to stay at BC area for the day- But checkout is at 11am!

I've heard they check resort id's there- will it be a problem after we checkout?

Thanks

It won't be a problem to swim at the BC on your check out day. Your room ID is good through the day of your check out and you can just show this at the pool. We did this ourselves since we had an evening flight.

Even though you have to clear your room by 11:00, you're considered a guest until midnight of that day. You'll still have your resort ID's, and they have the dates of your stay printed on them.

What everyone else said!

We have done this on several stays - with late flights out it is fun to end the stay with a swim!

Every year our flight home is later in the day and we spend our last day at the resort, we usually check out by 1 PM and just spend the rest of the day at the pool, then we eat lunch and head for the airport.
