Using Rainforest Showers as part of spa treatment?

This may be a stupid question - are you allowed to use the rainforest showers, hot tubs and the other facilities at the spa as part of a booked treatment, or do you need an extra day pass for the rainforest showers?
I have had treatments there before but never that much time to check out the other facilities, but I finally want to try out the showers, hot tubs and all of that..
My online booking window opens tomorrow, so I wanted to double check so I can finally decide what I want to book :) Thank you!

To my knowledge you have to purchase the RR pass separately (day passes through the Amenities and Gifts regardless of when online check-in is - length of cruise pass must be purchased on board). I have never known the RR to be included.

They are a separate experience and not able to be used together.
A RR day pass thru amenities and gifts is 16.00 plus 18% gratuity and does not include scrubs.
A length of cruise pass varies based on the length of your cruise, but they are more expensive as they add scrubs to the package. It can only be purchased on board and I usually go between lunch and our cabin being ready. :)

Yup. There's nothing included with your spa treatment on DCL except the spa treatment. On the Wonder, the spa changing/waiting area was the same as the gym changing area. People were coming through to hit the gym and giving me weird looks as I sat there in my robe waiting for my massage. It was incredibly un-relaxing and awkward. I personally won't be doing any spa treatments on my next cruise for that reason, but I am planning to buy RR passes.

On the Magic and the Wonder the locker room has a relaxation area with loungers and a sauna. I have used the sauna and enjoyed it. I was the only person using it. Yes, the locker room is also the one for the gym, but I never felt uncomfortable using it for relaxing in the sauna. Anyone can just walk in and use the locker room, the showers and the sauna, regardless of whether you have a spa appointment or not. Not sure if the Fantasy and Dream also have a sauna in the locker room.

They do have a small sauna in the locker room.

They do.

Not like the fancy ones in the Rainforest Room (or the fancy showers in the RR), but they do have a basic sauna.

Great! Yes, they are basic on the Magic, too. But after going on a hike in the drizzling rain in Norway, we loved warming up in the Magic's sauna. Hot is hot, regardless of the prettiness of the surroundings.

Cool, I know all about the Rainforest Passes, I just never used them. We will definitely getting them this time :) Thank you!

On some cruises when they do not sell a ton of rainforest passes they may let you use the rainforest room after your treatment if it is the first day. They basically want you to get hooked so you'll by the length of cruise pass.

It's not considered an amenity that is included in the spa treatments and on the Dream and Fantasy the doors to the RR require RFID bands which allow you entrance so there isn't anyone accidentally wandering in (haven't been on the classic ships in too long so not sure if they have added that on them, too).

When I was on the Dream in July, a lady who had just received a treatment was asking about using the locker room's showers and sauna. Another lady emphatically told her she could not. I waited until that (erroneous) lady left and told the person who just wanted to shower off her massage oils that she definitely COULD...there is at times confusion between the Rainforest Room (fee) and the spa/gym locker room (available to all).

One more question - as I can only add the Rainforest Passes as gifts, and they do not seem to have a specific date on them (and I need to call or fax to buy) - do you recommend doing that? Or should we just book them as soon as we are on board? We are using DCL Transport from WDW so we will be on board rather late. We want to use them on the Nassau Day. Thanks!

The day passes can be used any day you choose. If you only want one day, I'd go ahead and get them now.

I faxed an order! Do you get confirmation for that somehow? Or just on your credit card statement^^

Honestly it's been so long... And I'm pretty sure I called mine in. I know the passes themselves show up in the cabin.

You can also call and request them. I had to call yesterday to add my port transfers and had them add 2 1-day passes while I was on the line. Super easy!

Damn after faxing I called about the transfers...because it was a different phone number i wasn't sure...argh. I live in Germany so I only ever call if that is the only option do sth (like for one way transportation and dining rotation).

Easy to imagine that there's confusion.

Yep.

And even if you lose the paper day passes that show up in your stateroom (who would do THAT?) if you show up with your KTTW card, and your correct stateroom number, they give you the RFID band anyway to get in. No problem.

The key fact is: Day passes must be bought before the cruise (Details in the "In-room gift" section of the DCL website), and length of cruise passes, must be bought on board the ship. So decide ahead of time whether you want a day or two, or the whole trip.
