Using Points/Miles for Hotel, Car, etc...

Not sure if this is the right board or not. I travel quite a bit on business and have racked up tons of miles with Delta, Northwest Airlines, Marriott, Holiday Inn and Choice Hotels.

I want to pay for this vacation with POINTS! Has anyone ever done this before? Any tips on which are the best deals (like rent the car using Marriott points since it is a better deal, etc...)?

Can you use Delta and Northwest frequent flyer miles for anything other than airfare?

We live close enough to drive (only a 6 hour trip) so we don't need airfare.

I also have 4100 My Points that I will cash in for either food or gas coupons.

The only thing I know is that you can get park hoppers from Marriott. Dollar for dollar vs. hotel stay they are not a good deal but if you truly have "tons of points" it may be worth while.
