I was supposed to go to TDL last summer but ended up needing surgery so I couldn't go, so now I am planning to go this upcoming September. I will have expiring DVC points that I want to use for a TDL hotel and I have a few questions. If you use DVC points for a room do you get the same benefits as booking a hotel package? I will only have enough points for two nights at the Celebration Hotel, is this hotel too remote to make it worth the effort?
Thanks

I will be back there in September as well - you will never look at WDW the same way again :)

When do your points expire and are they banked? Honestly, the value of using points is so poor you'd be better off renting them and using that cash to book a TDL hotel directly. Even if your points are expiring fairly soon and you can only rent them for $8-10 it's still better. I would reach out to David's and see what they think they can get you.

Also- I would never stay offsite at WDW, or even DL really, but it's different at TDL. There are a couple of non-Disney hotels that are right on the monorail loop. Check out the Sheraton Tokyo Bay- recently renovated, on the monorail and just as close as the Disneyland Hotel to the parks. It's 50% or less the cost of Disneyland Hotel. The other TDL hotels (ambassador, etc) honestly aren't worth it- they're basically "off property". It's better to be on the monorail loop.
