Question - Does DVC have a specific order in which we must use our points for an II exchange?

In other words, if we are looking to travel in 2009, can I use that current UY's BCV points along with banked AKV points, even though I will have current AKV points available?

Will they allow us to use points from different resort contracts or will they make me use all BCV or all AKV?

I am thinking they should allow me to use my points the way I choose, especially when there are banked points, but I know MS has told members some strange things over the years and I want to know my "rights" when I call. Just not sure if use of points is different for II exchanges.

Thanks for any input you may have.

If your two contracts are truly two contracts, different member numbers, different use year, etc. I would bet they can't be used together for an I reservation, just as they can't be used together for a DVC reservation. You will need to transfer poits from one account to the other or have them all withdrawn from a single account.

If, however, they are a single master contract and add-ons under the same membership number, there shouldn't be a problem.

I guess my terminology was incorrect. My BCV points are our original purchase (master contract) and our AKV points were an add on, all through DVC. So it seems we should be able to do what we want.

Thank you for this info Chuck.
