Ok we are thinking of going to Disney for DS's April vacation in 2006. We own at vero. Since his week ends up the same week as Easter I think I am going to have a hard time getting into the beach club. So I was wondering if we would have success at the Poly or AKL. Do they limit inventory on those rooms? We would have enough points as we are not using DVC this year. hwo early can you book those rooms the 11 month or 7 month window?
thanks

You can make them at 11 months. Not sure if they limit or not but I have a feeling they do. Why not just make a reservation somewhere at the 7 month window and go on a waitlist for the place you really want to stay. I can't believe that all 1 BR's will be taken in all of the DVC resorts. I think you stand a good chance of getting in where you want.

You can book at the 11 month window, but I'd definately wait until you check the 7 month window first at BCV. I don't think it's a limited availability thing, as long as there are rooms, you can use your points for Disney Resorts. You never know, and with the wait list it might work out. If you make ressies at the Poly at the 11 month window, you're stuck with the Poly, you can't change them to BCV, since your points automatically become reservation points once you made a Disney Resort reservation. Wait until 7 months, and check on BCV availability, you might be pleasantly suprised.

yes wait!!!!

make your reservation at your home resort (VB) then try to change to BCV or BWV - since I think you want a Epcot resort.

or you could go on the trade/rental board and maybe someone would want your points (for a beach house in the summer) and would be willing to trade points who owns at BCV.

I agree, try a trade first then reserve at 11 months. I have gone at Spring break 3 times and have always had something available at 7 months also if you want to risk it. I didnt check but wont the points be outrageous at Poly/AKL compared to DVC resorts? May want to rent yours and use cash if thats the case. Time is on your side. Good Luck.
