Now that we got all these extra points from our recent add-on :), I've been looking at some other alternatives for using points. I'm especially interested in possibly doing an Alaska cruise on points. The question I have is, is it possible to use points for one person and pay cash for the 2nd person? If so, do you book the 2nd person thru member services? Also, typically how many extra points does it take to upgrade from an outside cabin to a balcony cabin. Finally, typically when do the new point charts come out for the Alaska cruise? We would be wanting to do this Summer 2008.

You only need to use points for the first passenger. Any additional passengers sharing the same cabin can pay cash. You can do all that directly with member services.

I remember something like $500 to upgrade to a cabin with balcony. I don't think you can use points.

The point chart for 2007 Alaskan Cruise is not even on the member website the last time I checked. They took it off for some reason. But I was still able to make reservation for the July 2007 cruise.
