Using points at non DVC resorts

Is it possible to use your DVC points at other resorts on Disney property such as Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century etc?

Yes, but it takes a lot of points - more than it costs to stay in a DVC studio.


For example, the least expensive night at CB is 23 points. The least expensive night in a BCV studio is 14 points. This is typical. Using DVC points to stay at a non-DVC resort is almost always a poor economic value.

The points must be direct points or resale points purchased prior to 2012.

But, as mentioned, it is a lot of points to do so
