Using Pin Code - Need Help?

Called this morning and after waiting 20 minutes on hold - only to find out that the fall pin code email is only good for "packages with tickets". Is this true? At the bottom of the email it states " Sniffin' around for room only deals"? The CM I spoke with said we have to purchase park passes to get the deal???
Does anyone know if you can get a "room only" discount with this pin???

My TA from Magical Journeys JUST emailed me and told me she was able to use this code on our room only ressie for October. I had to go back and forth with her a couple times because she said it was only good for packages. Well, I had already called Disney as soon as I got the PIN in my email, because I wasn't sure when I could get ahold of her and I wanted to know what I'd be saving(and I also saw the "sniffin around" remark). The guy I talked to quoted me my room only rate, using the pin, and it was cheaper than my AAA rate. I've been in touch with MJ ever since, and she was puzzled(I even forwarded her my email so she could see it herself) but just called and was able to apply the pin to my room only!! I don't know what the deal is, but it's obvious it can be used on room only when it tells you to ask right there in the email. If I were you, I'd just call back and tell the CM what the email says(this is what I did) and keep calling back until you get one who knows what they're doing. Good Luck!!
