using other DVC work out rooms

Are you allowed to use the workout room for another DVC resort that you are not presently staying at? We are staying at Bay Lake Tower but my DH wants to take a shower after the Disney 1/2 marathon at Beach Club or Boardwalk workout room after the run so we can just go back over to Epcot afterwards and not have to go all the way back to Bay Lake Tower just for a shower.

I would suggest "just do it" and don't ask. To be safe, make sure he has his room key with him in case anyone should question his presence. Your room key has a code indicating that you are DVC members. The attendant in the gym will probably assume he is staying in their resort. The resort room keys don't have the resort name listed and they all look the same anyway. I'm guessing that the attendant will see his card stating that he is a DVC member and that will be it. I've worked out in the gym at several DVC resorts and have had many occasions where nobody asks to see my room key at all. If they don't ask, don't show it!

While the resort keys don't have a name, they have a number on them that tells what resort and I would assume most CM's know what those are (or at least, know what one needs to be there for that resort).

However, I don't know if it would make a difference, especially if what the OP wants to do and that is take a quick shower. I guess they could say no, I am not thinking for this they would.

The Portable Perks I got last month says:

Fitness Center use is complimentary for Members at the WDW Resort Hotel at which they are staying and at any DVC Resort (Fitness Facility access does not include spa facilities).

So it sounds like he is good to go.

He'll have to use his ticket to get into Epcot after the race to walk over to the BC. The race finishes in the Epcot parking lot.
