Using old tix for FastPass?

Can anyone please confirm or deny this info I read on another board regarding old tickets and FastPass?

It said: "Save your old admission tickets. They can still be used in FastPass machines. "

We still have our tix from 18 months ago that we didn't get to finish using (death in family). I know the ticket itself IS expired and we have already purchased our new tix for our trip next month. But, is it true that I can bring our old tix so we can use them in ADDITION to our new ones for FastPass?

I don't think this is possible. I believe that a ticket has to have gone through the reader at the turnstile before it will work for FastPasses.

When Fastpass was first installed this was true. However the system is now smarter. It now knows if the ticket has gone through the turnstile. If the ticket hasn't gone through the turnstile it won't provide you a Fastpass.

The tix "technically" have gone through the turnstile. They were the "Fl. Play 4 Days" passes. We were only able to use 3 days before we had to leave.

Sorry, I wasn't completely clear. The system knows if it has been through that day. If it hasn't passed through the turnsile when you walk in for the day, it won't provide a Fastpass.

A Fastpass will only be issued on a day on which the ticket went through the turnstiles.

There used to be a time that folks could use both their ticket and room key for a FP. The admission requirement fixed that loophole, too.

Unless your ticket has passed through the gate that day as admission, the Fastpass machines will not recognize them as valid tickets and you will not get your fastpasses. Sorry!
