Using Magical Express

Please share your experience with using Magical Express with a late evening flight arrival. We get in at 7 PM and want to know when our luggage might show up if we do not collect ourself. Thanks.

The only time we came in late, we were staying at an All Star Resort and we arrived around 6pm and we didn't get luggage until 11pm.

I think I remember the paperwork saying that your luggage should arrive around 2-3 hours after you do.

If you're concerned about waiting for your luggage to get to your resort, you can always just not use the tags on your flight there. Then you can pick up your own luggage on the conveyor and roll it over to the Magical Express. The bus driver will put it under the bus and it'll go with you to the resort. You may (should?) end up tipping the driver for this service. This is what people that fly on airlines that aren't in Disney's list of airlines have to do.

The minimum time is 3 hours but it can take up until 5 hours, I have used ME 3 times so far. The first two times, I had early flights, checked in to the hotel and headed out for the day so I don't know when my luggage arrived it was in my room when I returned to the resort. When I was there in June I landed around 1 pm and my luggage got to my room around 4-4:30. I am going this weekend have a really late flight so I don't expect to get my luggage until the next morning I will pack what I will need in my carryon and not have to deal with my luggage after a long day of working and then flying

I asked the front desk of POFQ about this when we arrived late in May of 2006, and this is what they had to say:

"ME has a cutoff after which they will not disturb you in your hotel room with delivering luggage. If that happens, you will get your luggage the following morning."

I think I recall the cutoff being 10 or 11 PM.

On arrival at the airport we boarded the Magical Express bus with no queue and 5 minutes after boarding the bus departed. We arrived at the Beach Club resort at about 6pm and went to get something to eat, on our return our luggage was waiting for us in our room about 2 hours later.

I had a flight land at around midnight. I did not check my bags in with ME. We carried our bags with us because we know we would not be getting our bags anytime soon.
