Using Magic Band or Visa Redemption Gift Card

Can you use your Magic Band or Disney Gift Card / Visa Redemption Card at the souvenir kiosks in the parks?

I saw a video for MVMCP where people were selling the light up Mickey Christmas Light Necklaces outside the stores when you walk in, do they only accept cash? And BTW, anyone know how much they are?

I have the Disney Visa and trying to get as many points as possible before we go and use that for souvenirs, snacks and extras. Or am I better off just putting everything on my Magic Band and using the Visa Redemption Gift Card to pay my resort bill at the end of our stay?

We've never bought light-up toys or anything else from a temporary cart, but I've had no issues using our redemption card elsewhere. I typically prefer to use up what's on the card before switching to our Magic Bands -- that way I don't have to pay a special visit to the front desk -- but I don't see why that wouldn't work.

I do recall hearing that you need to settle any charges by midnight the day before you check out to keep the resort from charging your credit card, so keep that in mind.

Those Kiosks are Cash Only - there are several in the parks - the balloons are cash only as well

There are reports you can duck into a gift shop, pay for a balloon, then take the receipt to balloon vendor. I haven't done it personally. Not sure if that works for other merchandise in those kiosks as well.
