Using leftover WDW park hopper at DL?

Hi All!

I'm going to Disney World for the first time in September. I have a 4 day military salute park hopper that I have already linked to my magic band. I will only be able to use 3 out of the 4 days while I'm in Florida.

Will I be able to use the remaining day in Disneyland when I go there in October? I've read a few older posts that say it's tricky since the resorts have two different ticketing systems now. I would love to hear from anyone who has been able to use a WDW ticket at both WDW and DL recently.

Thanks for your help!

First and foremost, thank you for your service.

I'm not sure about if you can use them in WDL, but I believe guest relations at the parks/dtd can take one day and put it on a hard ticket for you to use at a later date (unless there is restrictions and I'm not familiar with that ticket offer). I think you have to do that before you use them. If nobody else has a firm answer I recommend taking a couple minutes and calling if you can, worst case just stop at guest relations which you'll find next to any park entrance before they check your ticket.

From what I recall from Cheshire Figment... Since new RFID WDW tickets no longer have a printed bar code, the computers at Disneyland could no longer read the long form WDW ticket number needed to deduct WDW days.

The Armed Forces Salute program is an exclusive Disney-Military ticket and room discount offer for active and retired military & their family and friends. This can't be compared with using a WDW Disney ticket at DL or vise versa.

There are TWO separate AFS offers -- one for a 4 day PH (or WP) at WDW for $177, and one for a 3-day PH at DL for $132. The best source of info about the two programs is 'Military Disney Tips dot com.' Steve has put together a tremendous website outlining discounts and programs available to military folks at both theme parks. I've read thru a lot of the website pages, with your question in mind, and didn't come across anything discussing using one theme park's AFS ticket at the other theme park. I got the idea that since there were 2 separate AFS offers available, one in CA and one in FL, and both offers were available to a military member during the offer year, then a soldier could purchase tickets for both theme parks (instead of the idea of using one theme park's tickets at the other theme park).

At the very bottom of the website page is the selection to "contact me." Why don't you post your question to Steve in a simple way (as he's extremely busy), and see what he says. Good luck!

DL has not been exchanging WDW tickets of any sort at DL for a while now.
