My husband wants to use his laptop on the plane but we are wondering how we would power it for the duration of the journey? He is assuming that we cant use the same power supply that we would use at home? :confused3 Its all too complicated for me :rotfl:

Unless you have a power outlet (do some premium economy/business class/upper class seats have them?), you would just have to use it until the battery ran out ;)

If you know what plane you will be on, you can check on seat guru to see where the seats are with laptop power, but as Luke says it is usually only the higher classes. Unless you are planning an upgrade it is a rather expensive way to enterain yourself on the flight.

Most Netbooks now have battery life that will last the journey - depending on what you are using it for. Disabling wifi & bluetooth saves an enormous amount of battery power

Who are you flying with?
Continental had power outlets (US socket) in Economy the last twice that we have flown.

You won't get a power supply then unless maybe you're in PE or Upper :)
