Koodo has a one month add-on to its rate plans that includes 50 minutes of voice and unlimited text for $40.00.

Has anyone tired this add-on with Koodo? If so, how well does it work in Orlando? Any problems?

Thanks for the info.

We have one koodo phone and signed up for the text only while in Florida for $20. Works great. When someone is out and others are at the villa we can also text to it via email.... yournumber@msg.koodomobile.com Others in the family have smart phones and here it is amazing how many places have free wifi- target, kohls, denny's so they have apps for texting to cells and/ or use the email and contact our koodo phone.

And in case you haven't seen it Disney has been installing free Wi-Fi in the parks and resorts over the last year.

We considered getting the add-on for our trip in November, but with free Wi-fi at all of the Disney parks, DTD and the Disney hotels, there was no need. We used e-mail from our phone instead and it worked great. If you think you will get a lot of incoming texts (more than 30) while you are there then it is worth the $20 text add on. If you prefer making phone calls instead of e-mail, or if you will be off-property a lot, then it may also be worth the add on for you.

What about Koodo and a US data plan? From what I have seen, they provide a 3 day garbage plan for 25MB. Really!? How about a $20 - 2 gig plan or something that somebody with a smartphone can actually use.
