H & I are going to WDW for 2 nights to hit F&W without kids.

Can we use our 2 kids AP bands to double our Fast Passes? Or do they have to be scanned at the entrance to be used?

You can, even if the names clearly don't match up to you gender (i.e. Mom using "Mark's" band). You might run into some over-zealous CM who makes a fuss, but you should be fine. I would be lying if I said I hadn't done this once, but that said, this thread could get very interesting... popcorn::

It seems like people use old MBs for same day FPs, this isn't really that different... right??

Either way, I just wanted to know if it works & now I have my answer :)

Thanks!

Not sure if I understand that one well, if I kept my old MB, I will be able to put some FP+ on my new MB AND my old MB on my next trip?

No, if someone else who has an active ticket (like an AP) attached to their band, you can, in theory, make FP+s in their name and for yourself and get two sets of FP+s. It only really works if the other person has an AP and is in your MDE account. In the OP's case, mom and dad (in a family of all APholders) are planning a trip for just the two of them, so they can use their two kids MBs (linked to the kids' APs) to make more FP+ selections.

It does work. Last year my youngest got sick one day of our trip so my hubby stayed in the room with her, my other dd and I were able to use their bands all that day. This year we were back in town but my oldest did was at a sports tourney and we used her ap band the days she wasn't with us, somwe had an extra fp for most of the week.

Some people buy a magic band in the park. Don't put any ticket on the band. But you can take it to a FP kiosk and get same day FP('s) with it. It not being linked to any tickets doesn't allow for FP's to be made ahead of time. But somehow the system lets it get Fast passes from the kiosk. I believe it's one at a time though, not 3 all at once from the kiosk

I haven't tried that, but some on here have.

As far as using other people's magic bands. Yes you can.

It's against Disneys rules to share magic bands. But as long as your not trying to do it for park entrance, you can use other family members bands for their fast passes. Whether the person is with you or not. The bands don't have to be scanned at the entrance of the park to have the fast passes "activated". So you can just bring them in your pocket or back and use whenever
