Using iPad, ads cause page to jump up and down

This has been ongoing and such an annoyance it sometimes makes me not even go on the message boards.
when reading a message board an advertisement opens up in between posts and it causes what I’m reading to suddenly drop down or shoot up then have to rescroll the page and lose track of the message I’m reading. Was just trying to read a really long post and it happened twice reading one post. Might have to try and find an adblocker for my ipad. I don’t mind advertisements, but the ad setup is affecting the functionality of the site itself.
