Using internal bus at Fort Wilderness to see Christmas decorations

Wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to use the internal bus at Fort Wilderness and get off and on at different stops to walk around and see the Christmas decorations. I know golf carts can be reserved depending on availability and that sleigh rides are available. 25 minutes on a sleigh ride just doesn't seem long enough to see most of the campsites. Any thoughts or suggestions? I know we will be spending the day doing some relaxing and resort hopping to see the decorations and are eating at WCC, so I'm not really sure a golf cart rental is the best choice for our $$$ since this is all we'd be visiting for. Please correct me if the sleigh ride does travel the majority of the campsites.

I don't know if it travels the majority to be honest, but we did really enjoy the sleigh ride. Our guide was fun and friendly, and everyone waved or said "Merry Christmas" to us. It was such a nice time! It certainly didn't feel too short or like we were missing anything. There may have been much more, but we were satisfied with the duration and the experience.
I'm sorry I don't have more info for you, but did want to chime in and say if you do decide to do the sleigh ride, we felt it was a worthwhile experience.:santa:

I'm here now at the Fort and people have decorated for Halloween. There are 3 internal Bus routes in the Fort. All start at the Outpost and end at the Settlement, so transferring from one to another is easy. Use the Purple or Orange buses for the Cabin loops and camping/RV type sites. The Yellow route handles camping/RV sites only. The purple and orange share the Cabin loops stops. The purple bus the takes a route that only stops one more RV loop before it hits stops at the Settlement, so once you hit the 2100-2200 stop I'd stick to the Orange Bus. All bus stops handle about 2 to 4 cabin loops and about the same for camping loops.

The sleigh ride does sound nice. We live in the northeast and have never even done a real one! Knowing that we have as much time to the Fort as we'd like on our free day, I just want to take in as much as the holiday atmosphere as we can that day at the monorail resort and the Fort. I am still thinking of booking the sleigh ride though, especially knowing you and others have really enjoyed it.

Great information on the internal busses at the Fort! I am going to go check to see if I can find an internal bus map after this post.

The sleigh ride is about the same cost as renting a golf cart and you have it for the whole day. Worth it.

So excited that I was able to reserve a golf cart today. All it took me was a peek at the resort map to realize how large it is before calling to reserve. I am sure it will give us some great memories! It can be cold but just please don't rain!
