You have to call MS to pay with Disney Gift Cards or the Disney Vacation Account.
MS = DVC Member ServicesI called MS and they said I have to contact DVC. But I was told it can be done! Although she mentioned something I never heard before, she said you can use points to pay for your dining plan??? I never heard that, is it true, and is there a place I can go look for the information, or do you need to call?
MS = DVC Member Services
Not sure who to talked to, but you can't use points for to pay for the dining plans.
Points can only be used for accommodations, it's in the DVC contract.
Did you look into a disney vacation account?
It would consolidate all of the Disney Gift Cards into a single payment method.How would that have saved me??![]()
It would consolidate all of the Disney Gift Cards into a single payment method.
You also earn a $20 Disney Gift Card for each $1,000 spent from the DVA.
DisneyVacationAccount.com for details
The $20 per $1000 bonus would be on top of any savings you got when you purchased the Disney Gift Cards.So that would have saved me $20.00 instead of $70,00!?!?![]()

Yes.So instead of calling DVC and giving them the 33 gift card information I should have set up a DVA and put them in there first and then used the DVA account to pay for the DDP?
Yes.
The DVA also comes in handy if you want to purchase DVC APs and you have a stack of Disney Gift Cards. For APs, MS can only take 2 Gift Cards and the balance must be put onto a major CC.
Open the DVA with a credit card- either a small $10 initial payment or I've heard you may set it up as a reoccurring withdrawal then cancel it. This opens your account. Then click on "make a one time contribution." Do this for each card.
I've added thousands this way. It's not too difficult.
