Using Free BD Pass at DLR

Hi, we're headed to DLR this coming weekend and we have a birthday girl with us. My questions:

Do we go to just any window to get her pass or is there a guest service window we need to go to?

If we want to upgrade the pass to a hopper for that day, does anyone know what that price difference will be?

You know, most of us have gone with the Fun Card instead of free admission. Depending on your DD's age she would get either $59 or $69 to spend on something fun. I'm not sure how the free admission works because we didn't use it. I hope someone here can help.
