I meant fast pass not PAST:headache:

I guess the other 2 options really makes no sense since I removed what I originally wrote....Thank Goodness none of the others quoted me before they had the chance to respond:rolleyes1

I would be happy to PM anyone who wanted to know what I said as to not :stir: and cause a debate:eek:

I had several CM's verify this for me, and it can be used any time after the window, as long as it's the same day.

I've heard this is true at DL, but at WDW too? I know we did it at WDW a few times, but that was when the line for ride #1 was delayed (ride stopped) and we didn't think we'd make it back to ride #2 in time for our FP window. The ride #1 CMs said it would be okay because of the line issues. :confused3

Several cast members told it was perfectly fine to use them later in the day (this was during our trip 2 months ago to WDW).

I don't think this is how Disney envisioned fastpass being used and partially defeats the purpose from Disney's perspective. As long as Disney allows it to be done it is OK, but I wouldn't be surprised if one day they start cracking down on this.

Never tried it, but if it is OK with Disney, it is OK with me. Actually, I'm usually wanting to use it before it is valid.

To provide the best possible guest satisfaction, Fast Passes may be used after the window time has expired, but not before.

Rides also go down, and unless you're past the fast pass collection point, you will not receive a re-ad pass. So you must hang onto your fast pass to use it when the ride comes back up.

Fast passes are distributed at % to the amount of guest per hour that a ride can handle. Few and far between do people actually use expired fast passes, that it really doesn't affect the wait times in the fast pass line. Now when a ride goes down, and comes back up, every one rushes to get in line, that's when there's a back up. Or just after a parade.

Most people on here will say they've done it. But usually it's only once or twice in a trip. Not all the time, every day.

:lmao: That reminds me of a plaque my mother had in her kitchen since the 60s. It had been a housewarming gift. It read:

I'm not a fast cook
I'm not a slow cook
I'm a half fast cook

She loved that thing.

I really agree with what you wrote, it kind of goes along the lines of what I originally wrote then edited since I didn't want to SNAP. CRACKLE, and POP off today :rotfl:. Your answer makes me want to put what I originally wrote back so that it could be discussed in a friendly and polite manner;)

I think it's fine to use them past the time frame as long as it's same day. It hasn't caused a problem, and many people gather in the morning, then ride in the evening. If there were a problem with that, Disney would have no trouble saying "no." It's not like they're milquetoasts when it comes to banning people from using them early.

I chose other. We have used the fast passes after the ending time and all has been fine. One time, though, we tried it on Tower of Terror (I think it was there, anyway) and the CM told us they had expired and we couldn't use them.

what's the difference between using fast passes after they have expired outside of the time frame an reusing a mug......:confused3 they both have directions printed on them that state it is only good for a certain time yet a fastpass gets a pass, and people who reuse mugs are lit on fire for doing so. :rolleyes1:scared:

Well the FP is something included in your park ticket at no extra cost and you will be using it the same day you paid for your park admission, as opposed to bringing a mug back years later and not paying for a new one.

IMO I think there is a difference.

great answer, I never thought about it like that...:confused3, I thought they both were wrong to do as one was "stealing" soda and the other was stealing time from others having to wait longer :rolleyes1.. never once did I consider what you stated...I have seen the light:lmao::3dglasses

No time gets "stolen." The people who went during the printed time had a shorter wait due to the absence of the fast pass user who went late. The people who are in line during that time would have had to wait for the person to go anyway (unless the line completely emptied--which they rarely do, the fast pass person took no one's time--they virtually let a whole lot of people cut in front of them.)

Thankfully it was OK in 2005 -- especially since we were given a FP while we were on a tour and the ending time was while we were still ON the tour! It would have have been physically impossible to use it before it's ending time.

Plus, no matter how hard we tried not to, I think we were late for every single thing on our vacation. I'm pretty sure we look very touristy. ;)

I have been told by a few CMs at WDW that we could use it within the same day even if it was after the printed time on the pass. I have heard this is not policy so it would depend on the CM. However, if the ride was closed for weather etc during the return time, you can certainly use it after the window. One CM even told me we could use it the next day but I wouldn't count on that.

I had several CM's verify this for me, and it can be used any time after the window, as long as it's the same day.
We used them the following day at an earlier time. The CM did question it, and let us go ahead since the ride had been shut down due to rain.

I would be totally surprised if they did...
