Since they just laid off the Tacoma office yesterday.
Official news says they are *going to* lay off people.
But local news (exit133.com) says they did lay off people, and were collecting badges as people left with their stuff yesterday at the end of the business day.
Knowing how that kind of thing changed customer service at amazon, when they did it in Seattle in '01, even in non-Seattle offices (I worked in Tacoma while then-fiance worked in Seattle), expect newly nervous CS agents to be taking your phone calls and emails... And if they did leave any Tacoma reps, as the official news says, expect underlying sadness if you get any of them.
I don't post this as a "I can't believe they did that" thing, or ANYthing political, I just wanted to let any Expedia users know to expect possible underlying weirdness, if they have to contact CS.
