Has anyone done this or planning on it? I'm pretty sure the evening hours are out for us (even I can't stay up that late!). Is planning on being at a park by 8 in the morning expecting too much of kids? Mine will be 8, 5, and 2. Or is the excitement enough to get them moving that early? (I'd probably let them sleep in their clothes and toss a breakfast bar at them in the morning.) One of my #1 reasons for staying on-site is the EMH, but I don't know if they'll be possible.

TIA!

with the morning so spread out - I think you can do it.

just decide which you want AK or Epcot - those are the only one back to back.

In case you don't know - Dumbo and winnie the pooh are open during both times. there was time when Dumbo was not open at night for the extra hours. but Disney a couple of years ago changed this policy.

the Magic carpets of Aladdin is only at night.

1 hour in the morning - 3 hours in the evening.

try to be at the gates by 7:45 am - don't be surprised to find the parks open if you do.

For us, morning EMH is a must. I have 2 kids, ages 6 and 4. It is great to get some of the more popular rides done before the crowds arrive. I love walking right onto Dumbo, Peter Pan, etc. It is so worth it! Plus, my kids are up at the crack of dawn anyway, so getting to the parks by 8:00 isn't really a challenge for us. If you think you can get your kids up, fed, and to the parks by 8:00, I would definitely recommend it.

I think it is definitely worth it. Our last trip was when our youngest dd's were 3 and 6. They were sleepy but we just kept telling them "let's go have some fun" etc.. and before they knew it, they were dressed and having a quick portable breakfast, and we were on our way!!!
We realized how much we got accomplished in the emh mornings and then in the afternoon everything starts to slow way down. The parks are alot more crowded. The lines are alot longer. The heat is more intense, and the kids are usually ready for a break.
It works out perfectly - especially for little ones - and if they give you a hard time- they will probably be done before you hit the parks.

Enjoy your trip! :)

For us EMH are a must! We try to hit every A.M. EMH, getting there at least 15 minutes early if we can make it. We seem to get a lot done in that 1 hour! Our plan then takes us touring that park until lunch time. We either grab lunch quick on our way out or eat at our resort. We nap/ and or swim (I have small children) and head out to another park at night.

As for P.M. EMH, depending how rested we are and how late the park is open, we sometimes stay.

Either you or your Dh could stay with the 2 older children a bit later for P.M. EMH, while the other one brings the little one back to bed.

Absolutely! We get up bright & early, hit the parks , head back FW for a late lunch, swim, ride bikes, etc (when the kids were small, they would even nap right on a lounge chair poolside!) We take our RV, so if we plan on eating dinner at the site, we head back to the parks around 6 and stay as late as we can...

Just remember this.... no one knows your kids better than you! You will know if it is too much for them. If they are cranky from lack of sleep, it's simply not worth it. Play it by ear & don't stress out! Have fun!!!
