Has anyone ever done this?

I have a week I am trying to rent but I thought I would try e-bay before I bank it instead. I am just wondering if anyone has done this before and were they successful?

Thanks

i have. ebay is great and you can get a decent pricee for good weeks, but ebayers are fiercely price conscious. may i suggest doing a buy-it-now with immediate payment required to be sure that they follow thru (this required paypal payment and membership for you). you must be square trade member too to lisit in travel categories. if you sell alot of timeshare weeks, this works fine. if you only are selling one week, you might try instead www.bidshares.com or www.redweek.com. less hassle and can be cheaper, but don't get as much traffic.

We've rented weeks from people using Timeshare Users Group classifieds (tug2.net) and also vacationsonly.com. I think it costs $25-35 for a TUG membership, not sure about vacationsonly.

I had my timeshare on Tugs2 and redweek.com but I haven't had too many requests for the week. Maybe I'll relist on tugs2.

your rental price might be too high.

check the getaways or bonus vacations on RCI or II - which ever you belong too - if they are priced lower than what you are offering - then that is your problem.

tuggers only want bargin.

E-bay is harder but if you want to make money - I would definitely go that route - you need to give them a copy of your deed.
