Using DVC points at the WL rv park??

I think you mean Fort Wilderness. There is no RV parking at WL. I think you can use points for a camp site. Check with MS.

Why would you want to, isn't a full site hookup like $35-45? You can't even stay at the All Stars that cheap. Save the points for another trip and rent them out if you're fixing to lose them. I vote for the extra trip :)!!!

Here is what Mousesavers has for rack rates, it can get that high but still, that would be like using points to stay at a value or moderate resort, not worth the money IMO. You can quite often find codes for FW too.

For 2007 the minimum is $41/night, plus tax, making it about $46/night.

That's only for a partial hookup site which means water and electric. Only tents and pop ups can book these sites.

Regular trailers, 5th wheels, and motorhomes can only stay at full hookup sites, which are higher at $46/night plus tax (about $51/night)

The above is for value season. For the other seasons, partial hookups/full hookups, tax included, are as follows:

Regular Season: $65, $77
Peak Season: $75, $88
Pre-Holiday Season: $50, $56
Holiday Season: $87, $101

There are also the preferred sites which include cable. These all run $6/night extra above the regular full hookup rates.

Depending on how you value your points, 6 points for full hookups, at $4.25/point maintenance fees, is about $25.50/night.

OK
So are we saying that it takes 6 points per night for a full hook up?
Is their a chart listed somewhere that shows the amount of points required?
thanks

Depending on the season and the day of the week the point range is from 6-18 per night for a full hook up. It is listed in the newest vacation planner.

Just wanted to clarify, to avoid any unpleasant surprises for you later...

Fort Wilderness Campground and the Wilderness Lodge are two completely separate resorts. The only thing they have in common is the word 'wilderness' in their name. They're not that far away from each other, and there's about a 1-mile walking path that connects them, and the WL <> MK boat also stops at FW, but that's it.

Thanks for all of that help.
Yes I knew that WL and camp Wilderness were not the same. Thanks for the help.
I am trying to plan a family reunion type get to gether when my brother in law gets back from Iraq and it is possible that my dad would rather stay in his RV than a studio at VWL. So I was considering the possibility of getting him a space of Fort Wilderness.
