We are staying 2 nights at BWV then 3 at AKL. Is laurndry detergent, dish soap etc. provided or should I bring from home? Can seem to find anyone who knows for sure.

Any other advise would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you get a "starter" size laundry detergent as well as dish soap.

The 1 and 2 -bedrooms and grand villas provide laundry detergent, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent. However, I believe that studios only provide the dish soap (since there is no washer/dryer in the room).

You are exactly correct. You will have one single use box of Tide in your one bedroom and larger villas when you check in. You should get a second on trash and towels day or full cleaning day.

I've found these cool little bottles of super concentrated ALL at WW (WalMart), 2 loads of laundry per bottle. They are probably 3 to 4 oz big-work fine for while on vacation. I do bring bounce softener sheets for the dryer. Never had a problem w/dish soap, etc. But, don't use that many dishes (we're all adults that go). In fact, our last visit, we had housekeeping scheduled the day before we were supposed to leave and just cancelled it.
No biggie to take out our own garbage and when I did a load of whites, just threw in our towels we used with the rest. Bring your own coffee filters and salt and pepper. We're finally learning that we only eat about 1/2 of what we THINK we're going to eat while there. We're down to some cereal, toast, stick of butter, buy milk at the resort and perhaps cheese and crackers from home. I have a small soft lunch sized cooler I throw in my suitcase for these things.

How about shampoo and soap? Is the amount provided enough? Do they replace on TT day or should you bring some of your own? The 'dishes' in studio are more like paper and only good for a couple uses, right? So..I should bring a couple bowls, plates and cutlery? How about the coffee mugs? Real or styrofoam? I figure I need to bring S&P, Coffee(going with those packs that include filter), cream and sugar, condiments. There was a site that carried tons of small sizes of things..I used it for my train trip, now I need to find them again. I also plan on bringing one of those mini electric skillets to prepare a number of things. There are grills onsite at OKW, but where would you buy meat? I guess you'd have to go off site or get a delivery since fresh meat isn't offered through DVC or, I suppose, in the little convenience stores.Of course in a studio the refigerator is small...Also, odd question, but I think I will be checking my luggage that would have food items (Like PB and jelly). Has anyone ever had explosion problems of this kind of thing from the airplane pressure? We had a huge aloe container split open when we flew to Mexico..luckily it was packed in a ziploc.

I've not stayed in a studio, but the one bedrooms have plenty of shampoo/soap (but I use my own shampoo). You get paper plates and plastic utensils. Not sure about mugs, but am guessing the same. I always take some kind of food in my checked luggage and fortunately, never had a problem, but it's all in sealed plastic bags. We NEVER eat all we bring, seems as if we're grazing in the parks or the meals or so large. Since you're staying at BWV, there's the ice cream shop, bakery and they do have one of the nicer 'grocery' stores (but $$). Like I said, we've learned not to take like we used to, it all goes uneaten.

Real ceramic coffee mugs. You get one shampoo, one conditioner, one hand soap and one shower gel per bathroom. So in a studio you get one of each until next cleaning/service.

Bowls and plates are just paper. You get plastic forks, knives, spoons.
