Using DME for return to MCO, without a flight...

Ok, checking with you guys who have done this in the past. Yes, I know it's done all the time. My question is this...
I move to BWV on Friday, I need to get back to MCO on Sunday to get a car. Am I better off just waiting until I get to BWV and making the return reservation on Friday, or am I better off making the reservation now, directly through DME?
I've told people both ways...I'm just curious which is the 'better' way. Thanks.

Personally I would just do at some point after I got to the resort. If you wait until the day prior to they can also print the voucher for you on the spot and your good to go.

The web form is also very easy to do if you don't want to waste vacation time. Just book a one way transfer with your second confirmation number but you will have to use a flight number.

It doesn't really matter if you do it now or wait. Yes, you can have the desk (or concierge) do it at BWV. Just be mindful (I'm sure you know this) that DME is a contracted service for Disney, and the CMs at the resorts may not be the best people to be asking about or setting up DME services. Personally, I always prefer doing business directly with the provider rather than going through a third party. My experience with DME has been that calling them directly (866 599-0951) is the quickest and most reliable way to get anything DME-related done.

Thanks guys. I figured I might as well just do it now..otherwise, I'll forget!!

I agree with this approach. The DME phone support has been far superior to Disney CMs for booking any Magical Express service where I don’t have a flight number (where it’s easy to just use the web form, anyway). They are always much better at sending out additional luggage tags promptly when I need any extras.

I agree...it's best to deal directly vs going through Disney.
