Using Disney Visa Reward Dollars at Vero Beach

Wasn't sure the proper forum. Sadly, not a DVC owner (yet) but for the first time we are renting points to stay at Vero Beach in Feb 2019 ahead of a wedding.

Does anyone know, can you use your Disney Visa Dollars at Vero Beach? I'm just wondering if I load up a card with a couple hundred, can I use it for dining, or gift shop or other items? With no immediate WDW trips planned and plenty of Disney bucks, was thinking this could be a good use of them.

Thanks!! The link was great, found Vero Beach under Other Locations and it can be used pretty much exactly what I want to use it for, dining, shopping and spa.

Just to expand the discussion with a potentially dumb question: you must always first request or reload the rewards to a visa gift card right? There is no way to “directly” apply the rewards correct?

Yes and No, mostly yes. The only instance that I'm aware of where you can directly redeem rewards dollars is on airfare. If you charge your airfare to your Disney Visa, the next month when the charge shows up, you can apply Disney Reward Dollars directly against your credit card bill. Otherwise you are correct, once you have $20 or more in Rewards dollars in your account you can request a Rewards card, which then can be continually reloaded.
