Using Disney Gift Cards for Stand-Alone Tickets

I just got off the phone with Disney and found out that I can't use my 20 $50 gift cards from Sam's Club to purchase my Disney tickets. Because I'm not staying on Disney property, and would be purchasing stand-alone tickets, they can only accept 2 forms of payment. So, one $50 gift card and the rest on another form of payment. After some time on the phone with the cast member, he mentioned that I could probably go to the Disney Store to buy the tickets with the gift cards. Has anyone else done this? Will they be able to do it? Makes me nervous to walk around the mall with $1000 in Gift Cards without knowing for sure :) Thanks!

Phone your Disney store to ensure they will do it before you drive over.

I don't know about the information you received. Did you ask for a supervisor?

DH is on the phone with the local Disney store who is now telling us they can take up to 5 gift cards per ticket. We are being told they can't combine the balances. And, Disney phone rep was sort of rude, so I didn't ask for a supervisor. Hoping someone will have some more info.

You can use as many GCs as you need to complete your purchase at any ticket booth on property.

If you want to create a Disney Vacation Account, you can deposit your GCs there and then you should be able to use the account number to purchase your tickets online or over the phone.

I purchased my park tickets last year using gift cards. Try calling Disney Ticketing Department directly at
407 566 4985 and select option #5. I am planning to buy my park tickets in January this way so hopefully they are still letting you!

This is what I did last year to buy tickets with a lot of gift cards. The normal line can't help if you have more than two but this one can. Just be prepared for a long hold time

I was in ticketing for eight years. Any Park ticket window (including water parks and DTD) will accept an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards as one transaction for ticket purchases. And I'm currently at a Resort merchandise location and we can accept an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards for any transaction.

Are they all Disney gift cards? I had the same problem two weeks ago when I called the regular phone line. They gave me the ticketing number referenced above and told me to use option 5 to get a person.

That agent explained that he could take as many Disney gift cards as I had and they count as one form of payment. He processed all five of my gift cards.

I then used two other payment methods, which was the limit. I used my Chase rewards dollars and put the $10 balance on an AmEx gift card DH didn't realize was still hiding in his wallet from last Christmas.

The agent was very nice when I apologized for having multiple cards and said that's what he does all day long, so it can be done.
