We made the HUGE decision today to go ahead and get tickets for the Halloween party this October when we are down there- we're a family of 6, so it's almost $500 for all of us, but we decided we're going to go for it! So I went to Target and got $500 of Disney gift cards, but when I came home and went online to buy the party tickets, it won't let me. They only let me enter $100 worth of gift cards (2 of them). Then I need to put the rest on a different debit card. Does anyone know if there's a way I can use these cards to purchase our party tickets?

You can call and the CM on the phone should be able to take all of the Disney Gift Cards.

Another option is to open a Disney Vacation Account (DVA) and load the value of the Disney Gifts Cards to it. When you go to purchase on-line, enter the DVA account number like you are using a Disney Gift Card.

I did try to do the Disney Vacation Account- but when I got to the part where it wants a cc in order to put money in, there was no option to enter a gift card- maybe I'm doing it wrong?

It makes you set up a recurring contribution when you open the account, but you can immediately stop it once it's set up. Then enter gift cards using the one-time contribution feature (over and over for each card).

Thank you! Somewhere I saw a maximum of 5 contributions per day- so I could only do 5 gift cards per day, is that correct?

I don't see anything in the FAQ limiting the number of contributions per day. I've definitely done more than 5 in the past.

From the DVA FAQ:
Is there a limit to how many contributions I can make in a day?
Yes. You may contribute a maximum of 5 times per day. You may contribute up to $1,000 daily per Disney Vacation Account.
There is supposed to be a limit, but there have been many posts that indicate the daily limit is not enforced by the website.

my mom did this (filling dvc account with gift cards) to get our tickets yesterday night, we hit no limit.

I bought our MVMCP yesterday with a Disney gift card without any issues. Maybe calling will help.
