Using Disney Gift Card for Trip

I believe I read that you can pay for Disney resort reservation with Disney Gift Cards. Is that correct? If you do that, and then have to cancel your trip for some reason within the appropriate time period to get a refund, how is it refunded since it was paid with gift cards?

On a side note, can you really saving the 5% target red card savings when you purchase a Disney gift card? TIA!

Refunds go back to the original method of payment. So, it would go back on the same gift card that you paid with. Don't throw it (them) out!

On the side note: Yes, it is possible IF your Target store sells Disney gift cards.
