Using Dining Plan After Online Check-In?

We will be arriving in Orlando the day before our Disney check-in and will stay off-site for a night. We'll likely visit Disney Springs for dinner, and would like to use the Dining Plan that day if we can. I understand it has been required to check-in to the hotel to start using the Dining Plan in the past, but we have completed online check-in and have already received Magic Bands. Any ideas on if we can use the dining plan the day before our hotel stay officially starts?

I'm pretty sure that's a no - the plan credits will not kick in until your check-in day.

The dining plan is tied to your resort reservation so you cannot use credits before your check in day.

As said above....not possible. Your dining plan begins on the day of your reservation the dining plan is tied to, and ends on checkout day.

So, then, I assume you can go straight from MCO to Disney Springs and use your DDP on day one of your reservation, but only if you've done online checkin?

If you have a car or other transportation, then yes, you can do that. ME will not take you to Disney Springs.

Yes and no. You can use it but only AFTER you have been assigned a room. We found this out on our last visit.

FYI, last week we checked out of BLT and had done online checkin at GF with our deluxe dining plan. When we go to MK for breakfast, our dining plan did not work. We had to have BLT call GF and change our online checkin time to 7am for the credits to kick in. So choose the earliest checkin time you can, no matter when you plan on showing up.
