Using Dining Credits

Is it possible to use an adult dining plan credit to purchase something from the children's menu? I am not sure that it will be an issue, but it is good to know just in case it is.

It's going to depend on the restaurant.

In most cases, it might be OK. I know there have been reports that specifically the Plaza restaurant and La Hacienda de San Angel have denied requests for someone older than 9 to purchase a child's meal.
