Using DDP credits for other guests

We're a large family traveling together with one room on the deluxe dining plan and one room-only. I've read conflicting information on this. We want to be able to use some of the dining credits for meals for the guests in the room-only. We figured we'd just swipe the magic band for the necessary credits, enter the pin and that would be fine. No one is asking for room identification for all the parties using the credit. Is this correct?

Also, nearly all reservations are made in the name of the guest in the room-only, but the magic band with the dining plan will be a guest from the other room. This is not an issue, correct?

Finally, could the room-only guests use a magic band from the room with the dining plan, even if that guest is not dining with them (we have separate restaurant reservations on various nights). I assume that presenting a valid magic band with the pin would be sufficient because they do not ask for another form of ID. Is that correct?

Thank you.

DDP is a payment, not actually part of an ADR, so it doesn't matter who's name the ADR is under.

Policy changes as of last year indicate that you should be able to use plan credits for anyone in your dining party, even if that number of diners exceeds the people in your room. I suggest having a backup plan for extra credits on the off hand chance a particular restaurant interprets this policy differently.
