Using current and future points

We are relatively new DVC owners (just one trip so far) and our next trip is March of 2018. Our UY is March and I want to book at our 11 month window which is April 2017. I have 31 points for 2017 and then will get 125 points in 2018. Can I borrow from 2019 even if I am booking in 2017 because we are going in 2018?

I hope this makes sense! I'm trying to figure out all of my options in plenty of time to book.

Yes you can. The time when you book doesn't matter.

Banking and borrowing are based on the stay dates, not the booking dates.

Also make sure you bank your 2017 points before the dead line, so they will be available for the 2018 trip

With a March UY, your trip falls in your 2018 UY. So you would be using current year points (2018), using banked 2017 points and possibly borrowing 2019 points if you need them.
