We have been looking through menus at all the counter service restaurants and the waffle sandwiches sound pretty good at Sleepy Hollow. I know at most other CS restaurants serve a side like fruit, fries etc with their main entree or sandwich. How will this work at Sleepy Hollow? Will we just get the sandwich, drink and dessert? My husband thinks we will get slaw or chips with it. Thanks!

Actually, you'll get nothing. Sleepy Hollow does allow snack credits for the plain waffles and a few other things, but they do not accept QS credits at all. There have been one or two reports of people using a QS credit, but those that did definitely experienced some pixie dust.

Sleepy Hollow accepts snack credits for some of their items, but it does not take CS credits. Here's the menu with the purple DDP logo next to the items eligible for snack credits:

At any restaurant your entree comes with everything that is listed in the description of the entree. If there are no sides in the description you will only get the entree as listed (e.g. many entree sized salads do not have any sides included).

I was able use a counter service credits there a few years ago. We got cookies and maybe chips with our waffle sandwiches. I never realized that wasn't the norm.

You can't use the dining plan for the waffle sandwiches. We don't usually choose to pay out of pocket when we are on the dining plan, but Sleepy Hollow is one of the exceptions. We love the Nutella waffle sandwich. We just pay out of pocket for it and snack on it while we are waiting to watch the parade. For us, it is worth the price.

Thanks everyone for the information. I read several dining reviews for Sleepy Hollow on another Disney web site and the reviewers had mentioned using dining credits and choosing a cookie for dessert and ships with the waffle sandwich..... I guess those reviews were one of the few that received a bit of "pixie dust." I was reading the menu on MDE yesterday and saw that it stated "No Dining Plan Accepted."

Disneylvr, you can always ask. As you've seen, some people have been able to use credits, so if it's something you want to try, ask. Maybe you will receive some of that pixie dust!!

I have a strange feeling that those who think they used a dining credit actually just charged it back to their room but didn't notice.

I've been to Sleepy Hollow and while standing in line observed persons being turned away when they said they wanted to use a QS credit for a meal. They were so not happy. I am assuming it might change at some point if it hasn't already.

this place doesn't even serve slaw, fries or chips as a side.

It wouldn't be a great use of a QS credit anyway if you are comparing cash prices its $6.99 for a waffle sandwich versus $11.99 for a sandwich at Be Our Guest. So you could get an extra $5 value from the credit if you eat elsewhere.

It may depend on the time of year. We were there at Christmas, and they had a special sign sitting directly on the counter indicating that you could get the breakfast omelet waffle or the nutella fruit waffle as a QS meal using the dining plan. We ate there twice on the dining plan (not a room charge). They gave us a chocolate chip cookie and bottled water to fill out the meal.

We specifically asked, because we expected to pay out of pocket, and they let us use DDP credits instead. So people are telling you the truth, but it may just be available seasonally.
