Using Bus Means No Monorail?

Where do the resort buses drop off at the MK? I thought I read somewhere that they bypass the TTC. If this is true, then we wouldn't get to ride the monorail or ferry to MK?

Yes, the buses drop you off at the main MK gate. But if you want to, there is nothing keeping you from hopping on a monorail or boat and making a round trip to the TTC and back. You could even take the boat over and monorail back if you want.

The MK buses don't drop you right at the main gate. It's a good two blocks away (in city-speak). At one point you actually walk underneath the monorail tracks.

Like the previous poster said, nothing's stopping you from riding the monorail or ferry "just because." I did that with my 5-year-old son once. We had no reason to ride the monorail all week, but I knew it was something he wanted to do. My wife took our 2-year-old back to CBR on the bus, and my son and I rode a round-trip on the monorail, getting on and off at the MK station. The loop goes MK-Contemporary-TTC-Polynesian-Grand Floridian-MK.

Okay, fine - relatively at the front gate of the Magic Kingdom. Closer than any offsite bus or shuttle drops you off. Closer than you could ever get with your own personal vehicle. Depending on the bus stop in comparison to where you are on the monorail, possibly even minimally closer than the monorail.

Better? :teeth:

If you want to take the monorail take a Disney bus to EPCOT then take the monorail to the TTC and then change to the monorail to the MK.
