Using body spray for hand sanitizer-doctors?

Can any doctor tell me how effective body spray spayed on hands would be in place of a hand sanitizer? If I run out of hand sanitizer, would body spray be any where near as good? I figure that since it has alcohol in it, it should help.

not a DR obviously, but I keep hearing the product should be at least 60% alcohol. Seems like you would have to know the alcohol content!

You are better off washing with soap and water.

It is the rubbing action of friction under the soap and hot water for a verse of Happy Birthday that is most effective, not the water, not the soap type, the active friction. I take moistcare sanitizing wipes on trips.

You do not get the same sanitizing just with sanitizer. But I would wash hands and use sanitizer. With this flu thing now I do more wiping about door knobs, the phone, key board, steering wheel, sinks get a daily wipe, counters, I have 50/50 vinegar water, also wet a paper towel and add peroxide.
