Using Blackberry Phone in US

Ok so we have net10 phones for calling home and each other but I was wondering if I could check my e-mails on my Blackberry for business. I'm with Orange PAYG Blackberry service and pay £5 per month for push e-mail. I will contact Orange but was wondering what any other UK Blackberry users do when in the USA?

you'll pay extortionate prices for roaming data, switch off roaming and just access email via wifi hotspots when you can!

I take my Blackberry (supplied and paid for by my work) with me and just switch it on twice a day to check e-mails - no idea how much it costs though.

according to orange web site it's £8 per MB data charge ... that's usually a daily charge but as I'm not with orange I couldn't be sure about that

we are going to turn our roaming and emails off as its meant to be really expensive, we are both with t mobile but i would imagine its the same as they are the same company

Not a Blackberry user but I turn data roaming off on my iPhone and just check emails/web etc when I'm at a wifi hotspot. There are enough about if you need it

If i connect through wifi will i not be charged in the US?? Sorry i know very little about my phone!!

If you use WiFi you wont get charged for it. Like previously said, the roaming charges are outrageous so turn that off!
