Using AOL instant messenger

Just wondering if AOL instant messenger is included in the internet package that you can purchase upon the ship. I have read that if you send an e-mail that it is almost $4 each time. My DD would like to chat with the love of her life while on board and wanted me to check to see if that was included in the package. Thanks!!

im not positive but she can just go to www.aim.com and go to aim express. or if that doesnt work she can try www.aol.com and typer her s.n and password at the top of the page.

On the internet computers they have AOL software loaded on to them, you simply go to guest and sign in to aol. You have all the normal stuff instant messages, mail, etc. Its really easy and you dont pay extra for it thru the internet cafe(you do pay for anytime you use I say get a package deal if you are using it more than 1 hr and 1 hr goes fast) no charge for email either as long as you dont do the "cruisemail" or the video postcards.

You can purchase an Unlimited Internet Package on the cruise and use the Internet anytime for as long as you want. OR, you can pay .75/minute you are logged on. When you do log on, you are free to surf the web, log on to AOL or launch just AIM. The prices vary from the 3-day to the 4-day to the 7-day but if you plan on using it even casually you are better off buying the unlimited package. It's very easy to accumulate minutes and that .75 can really add up.

Also, watch for the advertisement (usually on the first day) for an hour of Internet usage free. They also have a raffle on the first day that doesn't cost anything to enter. You can win the Unlimited package for the length of your cruise. I also noticed that last month they were giving away random drawings of free minutes throughout the duration of the cruise.
