Using Annual Pass for discounts before received?

Me again with another AP question!

If I order an AP today, selecting Will Call Kiosk pickup (to avoid international shipping fees), am I able to start booking APH discount things, such as HHN tickets (which looks like they needs a login for the APH discount), without actually having the pass yet?

You can use the discount for hotels before you get the pass...you would need to show the activated pass sometime during your stay. For HHN tickets, you would have to wait until the pass is activated and you get your PIN for the discount.

Same with buying a multi day ticket for someone else?

That's a real pain - scuppered all my plans!!

I wanted to buy a discounted multi-day pass, and 2 discount Rush of Fear for HHN

What classes as activating your pass?

If I get the pass sent by mail to me instead of Will Call is it activated? Or do I have to do that on site?

Or if I call to book my other tickets can they apply the discount for me knowing the pass will be activated when I come to use them?

Assuming no form of pre-purchased AP is activated would this plan work?:

• Buy one AP now - activate on arrival
• Once activated buy multi-day pass using discount PIN (do I need to do this online to get the best rate? If so, is there free WiFi at Universal? We're staying at the HRH)
• Buy discounted Rush of Fear passes (can I still get these once the season has started? We arrive 28th Sep.) Again, do I need to do this online

when a person has bought park tickets from the UO website, they can call and have the TM look up their confirmation/order number for those tickets.

it should allow you to purchase the discounted hhn tickets then.

when it comes to the AP purchase, don't know for sure if you can go the same route as above.

send them an email or call to find out.


hopefully it will be the same policy for what you need to do.

Your AP will be activated once you present it at the gate. You can only activate an AP at the parks.
