Using Aeroplan for Disney Park Passes

I am looking at using some of my Aeroplan points to buy some park hopper passes for my upcoming December trip. I know it's not the best use of points but I have a ton and figured this would help lower the cost of the trip a bit. I can either purchase a 5 day park hopper pass or a 7 day park hopper pass, however, I will be at Disney for 6 days this trip. If I select the 5 day pass, am I able to add an extra day to the tickets when I arrive? If so, what would it cost? (I don't really need the park hopper option but it's all that is available through Aeroplan).

On regular tickets, once you use the pass for the first day, then yes you may add another day. The cost is $10 for the extra day.

I am not sure if there are restrictions on the pass you buy with your points. If not, just upgrade after you've used the ticket the first time. Or better yet, wait until your sure you'll use the extra day and upgrade then. Maybe on day 4. You may want to call and see what restrictions there may be on the use of the ticket. I have heard of some not being upgradeable.

You may want to post your question on the Canadian Trip Planning & Community Board as well. Lots of Aeroplan users there!

On the theme park board there is a sticky of FAQ on tickets. Check there. Also if your answer is not there try posting on the theme park board. The poster of the FAQ on tickets is REALLY knowledgeable and frequents that board (I think he may be a CM).
