?? Using adult PH for a child?

We have leftover PH passes from an extended family trip last December that I would like to use up during a 3 day trip in October. I have plenty of leftover adult PHs, but only one child PH. Since we are taking two children with us, would it be possible to use an adult PH for the 7 yr old? And use the child PH for the 4 yr old. The price for a new child's 3 day MYW ticket with park hopping would be $180. I figure the days left on the PH are worth approx $130, so it's worth it to me to use it up. Just wondered if it's permissable? Thanks for any help.

Technically, park hoppers are not transferrable so only the person for whom it was purchased should used the unused days on it.

You should be able to use it just fine (as long as they are park hoppers and not the newer myw passes).

The first time you use an old pass Disney will do the finger scan and the ticket becomes non-transferable.

I used an old ticket the last time I was at Disney (in March) and they didn't make us scan our finger. Is that something new?

I used an old PH at TL last month and had to do a finger scan. Since the water parks are requiring a finger scan I'm pretty sure the theme parks are doing the same.

I don't mind the finger scan...there are 3 days left on the PH and she will use them all this trip. Just wondered if Disney allows a child to use an adult PH.

A child using a partly used adult pass is a near dead giveaway of transferring a pass to another person. Since (effective June 2005) the finger scanner will be activated upon use of this pass and child passes do not use the finger scanner, the CM manning the turnstile is more likely to take notice.

Are you sure you don't want to buy her a 10 day non-expiring child MYW pass ($322. with hopping) the rest of which she can use with no extra charge anytime in her life?

Ditto. As I read this thread I was thinking the same thing. That now this adult PH is going to activate saying it needs to scan the fingers so that it will from then on only be used by the same person after that first time- yet it's going to be a child standing there using it... when child tickets do not require the finger scan. It's going to be a dead giveaway that you're transferring a partially used ticket to another person (the child) because who in their right mind would have purchased an adult PH and used it FOR that child previously? Doesn't make sense when adult tickets cost more.

Better to just purchase her the child ticket and save the adult ticket for future use- it won't expire and you'll get more use out of it later anyway. :)

Thanks for your answers, I was just trying to use up various PHs from other trips and not put out extra money to purchase new tickets. but I don't want to do anything that is not allowed. I appreciate your help.
