The question I have is whether there's any similar benefit to using a travel agent to book WDW resort rooms as for DCL where you can get OBC?

I know this technically isn't a DCL topic but I wasn't sure how many would be familiar with DCL OBC in the resort forums.

I always use an agent to book cruises but I book our resort stays myself. We are military, so I like to call and talk to Disney directly about which resorts have rooms open with the discount. Also, we are really flexible, so I might have the person check five or six resorts with multiple check in dates.

I don't think there is a resort equivalent to on-board credit, so you aren't giving anything up if you book yourself. Unless an agent can get you in on a current group discount they might happen to have.
