using a "plus" on an old pass--best way

We have passes from the end of 2003 that have one "plus" left on them. This is how we are going to TL.
1) At that time they were 2 adult, 3 children--Now with the new age rules we are 4 adult, 1 child. Will be pay some $ to use these
2) should we go to our front desk at the resort and trade the passes for regular TL tickets (is that possible?) or just take the old passes to TL and hope there isn't an issue using them?

One trip, my niece was 9 (a child), next trip she was 12 (an adult). We went to Guest Relations at DTD, told them she was an adult now, and they took her child ticket and gave her an adult ticket the the same number of park days and plus options for free.

I'm pretty sure you could do this at any park Guest Relations window... not sure about the resorts.

But as I said, the did it for free... nice touch.

There is no advantage or disadvantage to using an old plus at any time or in any order, except that plusses on expiring tickets should be used up first.

(Pre-2005 ticket plusses are not honored at Disney Quest.)

Each person should (must) use the same ticket he used during the last vacation. If a child is much over ten he may exchange his old child ticket for an adult ticket with the same remaining admission, no charge.

I don't quite understand what you mean by they should be used first. We will have our MYW tickets when we check in and aren't actually planning to go to TL until our 6th day. The "plus" is all we have left--we have no regular days on the tickets.
I hope we can remember which kid used which ticket.....it's been a while!
Can we just go to a guest service window and exchange them for a regular TL ticket?

I think seashore means that Disney prefers patrons to use up their older tickets first, especially if they're the older PH or PHP tix. Probably for several reasons. The type A part of me would want to clear older tix records out of the system as soon as possible. It would also minimize the confusion that happens when we pull out old tickets and can't remember what's on them or who used which one, since the old tickets weren't tied to individuals. Disney probably doesn't want old tickets passed around from person to person, since the policy is that each ticket stays tied to the initial holder of the ticket.

However, you said your tix are from 2003. They aren't tied to you by biometrics if you haven't used them since then. Just take one child ticket and have it exchanged. Then just make sure the right child uses that ticket to enter TL.
